Graphics and printed materials of various kinds have been created to support the litter-free campaign, and more will be added from time to time.

	TIP 1 Keep a litter bag in your car. Treat Long Beach like your living room.		TIP 2 Be less accepting From shopping bags and receipts to napkins and ketchup, only accept what you need.
	TIP 3 Can your butts Cigarette butts are the largest segment of litter found in Los Angeles County.		TIP 4 Watch your wrappers Don't allow any wrappers, from gum to hamburgers, to blow, fall or be left on the ground.
	TIP 5 Join a local clean-up event Visit www.litterfreeLB.org to find, post or join a clean-up event in Long Beach.		TIP 6 Have mug, will travel Have your coffee shop fill your reusable travel mug instead of another throw-away cup.
	TIP 7 Pick up just one piece of litter a day Your behavior is influential. Studies show that others who see you will do the same.		TIP 8 Think about your drink Most beverage containers are recyclable. Fast-food cups belong in a trash can.
	TIP 9 Keep our gutters debris-free Don't hose or sweep any type of debris into our gutters. They are part of the storm drain system.		TIP 10 Leave it litter-free Enjoy our parks, beaches and open spaces. But don’t forget to take your trash.
	TIP 11 Repeat litter-free messages Visit www.litterfreeLB.org to download litter-free tips for your publications.		TIP 12 Boat with a bag Store trash on your boat until you've docked and can dispose of it properly.

Here are four teaching tools designed to support existing lesson plans and California Content Standards. These tools also convey a quick message about the importance of keeping schools and all of Long Beach litter-free.
