Litter-Free Partners

Would you like to take your litter abatement efforts a step further? Below are several ways you can help keep Long Beach litter-free and be recognized for your commitment:

Adopt-A-highway:800-421-3371

For a small monthly fee, Adopt-a-Highway puts up a sign acknowledging your contribution, and collects litter from the street in your name. Adopt-A-Highway makes participation easy by researching available sites, coordinating the permit application process, providing a custom recognition panel, and cleaning your adopted section of a Long Beach street.

Adopt-A-Waterway:800-890-1185

The money raised by this project is used for public awareness and education, to clean catch basins, scrub parking lots and install pollution-reducing devices along various stretches of storm drain systems. Donors get their names on "Cleaner Storm Drains, Cleaner Oceans" signs to be posted along the system.

Sponsor a Neighborhood cleanup Event:570-2895

The City hosts neighborhood cleanup events throughout the city and will prominently thank your company’s support through signage at the cleanup event of your choice.

Car litter bag sponsorship:570-2895

Your company can pay for litter bags that are distributed at local car washes. Your company’s support will be acknowledged on each bag.

In our effort to keep Long Beach litter free, the "No Litter Zone" program gives businesses and associations a chance to take an active role in fighting one of our toughest local battles: keeping our streets and alleys free of trash and debris.

The No Litter Zone program educates Long Beach businesses and residents about the importance of keeping our city clean and improving our community's appearance. Another priority is to hold accountable those who litter as well as those who engage in more serious illegal dumping. The program asks that business owners simply sign and return a pledge card promising to keep their business area litter-free.

If more than 50% of the businesses in the area join, the City will recognize the business with an acknowledgement in the local press.

Thank you for helping to create cleaner and safer neighborhoods.
Your efforts will contribute to the beauty, health, vitality and economy of a truly beautiful City...the City of Long Beach.
